"It might seem to outsiders that the Nissan has taken a full-fledged risk over before making its grand entry into Australia," according to Bill Peffer, Managing Director for Nissan. "But Nissan has everything planned and we have charted out a strategy which will definitely yield good results for us."1

 

Peffer "has ambitious plans" for growth of the company. New Nissan vehicles, like the 2013 Altima are headed into Australia.

 

The automaker's objective is to increasing sales in Australia from 6.7 percent to 12 percent within the next 12 months.

The Nissan LEAF just checked off another to do on its list. The award-winning EV went to Denmark to compete in the inaugural Oresund Rally - a competition open exclusively to electric vehicles (EVs).
