Two Company Firsts for Nissan

March was a great month for Nissan, Japan's second-largest automaker. Just out, the numbers reveal the automaker achieved a healthy 9.7 percent increase in U.S. market share - the highest single-month growth in the company's history. Even more remarkable, Nissan U.S. vehicles sales jumped 27 percent, marking one more monthly record.

Among Nissan's award-winning lineup, the Nissan Altima performed particularly well. Comprising 32,289 units of Nissan's 121,141 unit total (a 27-percent jump over last March), the Altima took the title of the "Best-Selling Sedan in America", for the first time ever.

They say the proof is in the pudding. Well, in Nissan's case, the pudding is February's numbers, proving that Nissan is quickly growing in popularity. Nissan has entered market that they have never stepped into before, the commercial van. Nissan hopes to corner the market for construction workers, electricians and delivery people. The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week. Nissan has been teasing us for months, but now the Japanese auto maker has put the world's first drop-top SUV into production.
