The Nissan Frontier has pulled in another award, underscoring those already garnered from the likes of Auto Pacific, J.D. Power and Associates, Insure.com, KKB, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Specifically, it's earned a place ahead of all USAA Preferred vehicles, on the firm's "2012 Best Value List".

Readers not familiar with USAA's annual "Best Value List", can think of it as a stamp of approval for new car buyers - or in the case of the Nissan Frontier, new truck buyers - looking for something that's not only extremely safe, but won't require them to spend much above and beyond the sticker price.

The USAA explains the critical role their list plays in consumers' ultimate purchase. "Thirty percent of members who added a new model year vehicle to their USAA auto insurance policy in 2011 chose a USAA Preferred or Best Value vehicle," says USAA Assistant VP, Steve Thompson. "The goal of the list is to help members identify vehicles that offer better safety ratings, lower insurance costs, higher fuel economy, better overall reliability and lower MSRP compared to other vehicles in the same category."1

That's not to say you should subscribe to USAA insurance. The list is public, for all to benefit from. The ultimate point is that you'll be hard pressed to find another small pickup with as much value as the Nissan Frontier.
